Deal Alert: Start a New Series Humble Bundle

Itching to try something new, but not sure what to start? Humble Bundle currently has a great solution: a bundle of the first books in 22 separate series from a variety of great authors for only $15. From what I can tell, most of the titles are of the fantasy/science fiction variety, including works by Patricia C. Wrede (always fabulous), Octavia E. Butler, Elizabeth Wein (The Winter Prince, which I can personally attest is excellent), Greg Bear, and Timothy Zahn, among others.

EXPIRED | Deal Alert: Tales of Horror Humble Bundle

Looking for some spooky reads as Halloween approaches? Well Humble Bundle has you covered with their Tales of Horror bundle. This bundle features a variety of creepy tales ranging from manga to novels (authors I don’t know but who will be fun to try) to a number of short story collections (featuring several well-known authors who know well how to craft the perfect eerie atmosphere).  As I said, I’m not familiar with all the authors, but this looks like a solid collection with a good bit of variety to suit different tastes in horror. If you’re interested, you can find out more here.

EXPIRED | Deal Alert: Torchwood & Doctor Who Audiobook Humble Bundle

Calling all Whovians! Right now, Humble Bundle is offering a collection of Torchwood and Doctor Who audiobooks/audio dramas which looks pretty fantastic. The Doctor Who ones include four collections of shorts as well as two full-length stories. Torchwood is all full stories–eight of them! Additionally, there are two interviews, including one with Tom Baker. I’m not sure about the Doctor Who ones, but the Torchwood stories at least appear to be full audio dramas, which I’m very excited about. Because this cast does a great job in this medium (see my review of Torchwood: The Lost Files). Plus, it looks like these are all new stories, not ones included in The Lost Files. So yeah, I’m excited for this bundle if only for that.

If you’re interested, you can find out more here.
