Deal Alert: Pawsitively Clawsome Humble Bundle

Yeah, so new offering from Humble Bundle that feels like Chat Noir must have named it himself, right? That definitely made me laugh. But for as silly and punny as this cat-themed bundle may look at first glance, it actually has some pretty cute stuff in it. Yes, there’s your requisite internet cats, cat-care, cooking and crafting with cats, etc. sort of stuff that’s kind of meh. At least to me; if you enjoy that, please knock yourself out. But mixed in with that stuff, this bundle offers a really cute selection of cat-themed manga and comics that are definitely worth getting the whole set. You’ve got 2-3 volumes each of Chi’s Sweet HomeFuku Fuku, and Nekogahara. There’s also some Grumpy Cat and Simon’s Cat stuff, as well as some other interesting-looking comics that I’m not as familiar with. In addition, there are also some picture books and a couple novels. So yeah, definitely a theme-specific bundle, but there’s some good stuff there. You can find out more here.

Incidentally, Humble Bundle is also offering a selection of D&D comics that could be fun. Plus, they’re having a Square Enix sale, including stuff like Tomb Raider and Final Fantasy.

Deal Alert: DC Comics Humble Audiobook Bundle

So . . . personally, I still have something of a love/hate thing going with DC comics, but I know a lot of people really love them. And I don’t know about you, but I’m a total sucker for full-cast audio dramas. And the idea of superhero comics produced as audio dramas is pretty intriguing, I must admit. So yeah, right now Humble Bundle is offering a number of DC comics (looks like mostly pretty classic ones, not that I’m familiar enough with the publisher to say for sure) in full-cast audio drama format. If you’re interested, you can find out more here.

Double Deal Alert: Kodansha Manga & Brain Wave Non-Fiction Humble Bundles

Currently, Humble Bundle is offering two book bundles that look pretty interesting. First off, Kodansha is offering a number of manga including AjinInuyashikiThe Seven Deadly SinsGhost in the Shell, and Battle Angel Alita. There aren’t so many titles in this bundle as there are a lot of times, but the nice thing here is that each title includes a good chunk of volumes–most of them at least the first 10 volumes of the manga–so you can get a good idea of the style and story and go from there if you want to continue reading. Maybe some of them are even complete; I could check, but I’m too lazy to bother. Sorry. You can find more about this bundle here.

The other bundle of note is a selection of science-related non-fiction. Now I’m not usually one to read much non-fiction, but some of this looks pretty interesting. And while all of it’s pretty science-y, the topics covered are actually pretty diverse–physics, evolution, earth science, history of science, astronomy, relativity, etc. If you’re interested, you can find out more here.

EXPIRED | Double Deal Alert: Super Nebula Author Showcase 2018 Humble Bundle & Humble Store Spring Sale

In honor of the upcoming 2018 Nebula Awards, Humble Bundle is offering a rather brilliant selection of fabulous (including numerous award-winning) titles in speculative fiction, fantasy, and science fiction. We’ve got previous Nebula winners, Hugo Award winners, Philip K. Dick Award winners, and World Fantasy Award winners. There are a few repeats from previous humble bundles, yes, but there are a lot more titles that I haven’t seen featured here before, including a couple of Jane Yolen novels I’ve been planning to get which, personally, make the bundle worth it in their own right. If you’re interested, you can find out more here.

In other news, Humble Store is having their big spring sale, which means lots of great games at deep discounts. Seriously, some of this stuff is up to 90% off right now. I found Hakuouki: Kyoto Winds for $8.99! Plus, there are some free games thrown in if you spend certain amounts. Again, if interested, check out the Humble Store at https://www.humblebundle.com/store.

EXPIRED | Deal Alert: Classic Sci-Fi/Fantasy Book & Audiobook Humble Bundle

Humble Bundle is currently offering a selection of SF/Fantasy books in both e-book and audiobook formats that looks pretty interesting. Some of them are the same books; others are only offered in either book or audiobook format. Included are authors such as Bruce Coville, Tanith Lee, Tamora Pierce, Kenneth Oppel, Alfred Bester, and Robert Zelazny–as well as a really random-looking Jo Nesbø. Although I’m not much of an audiobook person myself (audio dramas are another thing entirely); however, there are some pretty great looking titles here if you do like audiobooks, including a few Tamora Pierce books and Oppel’s Starclimber. If you’re interested, you can find this bundle here.
